AN INTRODUCTION TO HEALING by FRANCES REILLY 1985

AN INTRODUCTION TO HEALING.

A Memorial Paper by Frances Reilly. 1985.

There are many forms of healing and I will endeavour to enlighten you.
Firstly we have many hospitals, which include Surgeons, Physicians, Dieticians, Physiotherapists, and Nurses to name but a few. Specialists in every ailment mankind can suffer from.
Secondly we have Alternative medicine, of which there is also a long list. Currently the top 8 Alternative medicines in the western world are -:
Top 8 alternative therapies,
1,Naturopathy where the body is encouraged to heal itself through healthy exercise, correct diet and fresh air.
2, Ayurvedic a strict diet to suit your ‘prakuti’ which is your physiological and physiological system, herbal medicines, yoga and other complimentary medicines and practitioners.
3, Traditional Chinese medicine. Herbalism, massage, diet therapy, exercise and acupuncture are just some of the range of medicines used holistically.
4, Homeopathy a prescription for minute amounts of a remedy that will closely match your ailment, there is an extremely detailed series of questions concerning everything from lifestyle to ailments.
5,Manual lymph drainage a highly effective system where a relaxing massage pinpoints the lymph glands, boosting the immune system eliminating toxins .6,Autogenic Training this has been dubbed a meditation for westerners, the system is taught over a number of weeks.
7, Reiki a Japanese form of ‘healing’ which can aid stress management especially.
8, Aromatherapy where essential oils are used to encourage a better immune system, where essential oils are used in massage.
Spiritual healing is in a category of its own.
It is Spiritual Healing I am interested in here, in this paper.
I firmly believe that if ones spiritual body is healed, the spiritual body helps the physical body to accept Gods will and in acceptance we can overcome the problems.
There are various ways of Spiritual Healing.
Contact Healing.
Aura Healing.
Magnetic Healing.
Colour healing.
Absent Healing.
In this first paper I wish to deal with the healing I use myself.

I sit quietly for a few minutes, to meditate. Offer a prayer and ask for Gods love and light and protection, and that he let my Healing Guides be with me throughout the duration of the task I have to do. I give my love to God and in return I can feel myself fill with his love THEN I KNOW. I am ready to begin.

If I haven’t had contact with the person before, I ask if they have experienced Spiritual Healing. If not then I explain it to them, what I am going to do. This puts them at there ease.

I always stand behind the person to start off with, placing my hands on their shoulders.
I extend my thumbs to the base of their neck and concentrate on the person. This helps me to ‘tune in’.

Throughout the healing I keep my hands within the ‘aura’ of the person, usually within two inches of their skin. I keep my left hand mainly just behind the neck (negative) whilst my right hand (positive) moves around and over the body. Everyone finds his or her own ‘best way’ of doing it. This is MY way, the way that I feel the most effective.

All healers feel different sensations, some feel cold, heat, and hands vibrating and so on. With me I feel intense heat where the healing is needed. I can also feel the power ‘bounce’ through the body from my right hand into my left hand. I always leave the person by placing my hands on their shoulders again and asking God to let the healing carry on. I feel that this completes the circuit around the body.

When the healing is over I feel as if I am a Disciple, carrying on the work of Jesus.

To me, healing is the most precious gift God could ever give me. I accept, I appreciate it and shall always do it to the best of my ability.

You are all capable of healing others in your own way.

May Gods Love, Light and Protection be with you always?

Sadly Frances has passed to the other side. All who met her, where appreciative of her simple and direct belief, which was strong and sincere? She is sadly missed on this physical plane. Spiritually, she is one of those golden lights that shine whenever the way seems too dark.

Frances Reilly, an indomitable woman, surviving many physical and spiritual challenges. To become a leading light in the Page Moss area of Liverpool, Great Britain. Frances was a vivacious and talented lady whose sense of humour could overcome much of the cruelties of life. For a tiny little lady, with a whole series of painful, physical ailments and a body punished cruelly throughout her life. This beautiful soul shone amongst friends and the public alike.
Her greatest joy was to receive a bouquet of Yellow Roses from Sammy Davies Junior whenever he visited the North of England. Her greatest pride was in her son Christopher the only surviving child from ten painful pregnancies.
Her most powerful memory is with ‘us’ the people she left behind, all too soon. Frances was tiny physically and had a heart the size of the world. She would do anything for you, be there as friend and as support.
She had so little materially having been burned out of her home by local vandals twice, and as she said the second time ‘ the Bronx would be easier to live in than here’. Yet she stayed and made it known she would not be beaten, would not ‘give in’, to bullies and idiots.
She had so little fiscally because she spent her meagre income on the ‘old folk’ whom she cooked meals for and delivered. (This was when she was in her early sixties!) Frances was a fount of wisdoms and a particularly wonderful friend to those who had fallen on hard times. Her humour was ‘off the wall’ her adventures where many…in fact they probably warrant a book all have there own.
Frances left a legacy. The day after her burial, her son and I began to sort through her material world. A sad and unhappy task. The next day I received a phone call. Christopher had eventually worked his way to the attic. He had found his ex army father’s hidden arsenal! Semtex, Detonators! Tank and land mines! He was stood outside the house, at the bottom of the street. The Bomb disposal unit of the Army was on its way. She really did, nearly go with a bang! I can still hear her laughing. Frances would have loved it.
And we really did love our own little Reilly.
We still do.
I promised Frances that one-day, the world would know of her beautiful soul. This is my testimony to my friend. Her works may never have reached the dizzy heights of professors and doctors of this or that. Yet her work is far more powerful than she would accept herself.
Though no academic, I watched this tiny little lady confound the whole of the medical profession in the Royal Liverpool Hospital. With Spiritual Healing from ‘us’ and from herself, she came off life support after a triple bypass operation in 3 days and walked, head high within three weeks out of the hospital, healed and healthy, the operation was a success and for eleven extra years we had Frances with us. The transplants had lasted longer than anyone else’s, her recovery was greater than anyone else’s and to her delight,  her surgeon was fascinated by the process and asked permission to talk of her Spiritual Healing at a seminar that very weekend of her operation.
Frances didn't just write about her abilities and interests, she truly lived them and as a result she was a shining example to us all. Personally I can never thank the powers that be enough, for my friend, my councillor and mentor in life. I witnessed her levitate and write her initial on the ceiling, crystal gaze and heal, she dumbfounded me and a whole lot of other people.
She humbled me with her truths and her trust and her loyalty. I never did feel I repaid them enough. I have been most truly blessed when the powers allowed her into my life and I am very grateful, very grateful indeed.
Frances was a wonderful hotch potch of humour, passion and so many attributes, a true bouquet of British quirkiness, Scouse humour and pure undiluted womanhood. Wherever you are Fran’, I miss you girl.

Love

Mother.
