ARCHANGELS article

Angels in the Clouds

ARCHANGELS

whether you are Christian or Pagan or any religion which has an hierarchy  of a heaven or a hell, Archangels seem to be an accepted aspect of our spiritual life.

For many, the idea God (by whatever name) has a sub division or a department wholly given over to his/her ‘second in command. is something we don’t question. I know that many people use the idea of winged angels as a defence system in Psychic Self Defence and many people continue the concept further with Archangels Raphael (wind), Michael (fire), Gabriel (water and Uriel (earth) combining pagan and Christian beliefs.

Currently ‘doing the rounds’ and many claims of ‘it works’ is the Arch Angels Ritual.

I can hardly write something up, recommend it, without first trying it out myself, or rather I prefer not to do so (some rituals are not for me) I did this one, I tried it via the auspices of a good friend sending me the letter informing me of her good will and thoughts towards me and her desire for me to be blessed. I received the thoughts written down, the love that prompted that letter with humility and gratitude. Such a truly kind thought.

I have taken part in this ritual...and cannot explain the white feather that drifted from side to side down my front door on the appointed day, nor can I explain the many lovely things which happened during those 5 days, or the positive energy which began to infuse my world, even with persons who were not aware of my participation. I can only say that doing this ritual seemed a good thing and felt good.

                    ARCH ANGEL RITUAL

Choose 3 people to send the Arch Angels to.
Inform these people that on a specific date the Arch Angels will arrive at their front door. They will arrive for 5 days at 10.30 pm at night and leave at 10.30 pm 5 days later.
To invite the Archangels presence in your life prepare a small altar. The home must be spotlessly clean.
Have an apple and a candle and a white flower
Three wishes:-
1 for yourself
1 for a loved one
1 for the earth
Write them down on paper and seal in an envelope.
Light the candle and place the apple on the wishes.
Open the door at 10.30.pm and say:-
Hello and welcome Archangels to my home. You were sent to me by (name) I am very grateful to each of you for purifying and bringing peace to this place and to beings that live in it. I am very grateful to you for bringing harmony, Joy, serenity to us all. I am very grateful to you for fulfilling my wishes.
for 5 days the angels are with you, you can talk to them, reflect on them, discover peace and answers in your life. The Angels will accompany you wherever you go.
While your physically present keep the candle lit, but observe safety and do not leave a lit candle lit while you are away.

Just before the 5 days are up write down the names and addresses of those people you are sending the Angels too. Then; using the candle burn this information to send the energy to the angels. Send your love and thanks and as the angels leave you burn your own wishes list and scatter the ashes. Eat the Apple.
This ritual has been enacted worldwide passed from friend to friend much as a chain letter but many claim the ritual has worked for them.

Many people rewrite this ritual to their own way of belief but it is certain that belief in Arch Angels has been emphasised by the thousands of people who have followed this ritual and in doing so centred belief and trust in this ritual being positive in their lives.

Arch Angels are an energy, perhaps for some they are a spiritually enhanced Egragore or for others a manifestation of will centred on a specific all powerful energy similar to God minus the awe inspiring fear of God.
God Bothering is an old expression to describe someone who asks God (by whatever name) for soemthing, for extra help, to smite down a neighbour or bless a friend, but forever doing so, not the odd occasion, but over and over. Many religions advise against such continuous needy prayers and advise a different approach....contact one of Gods helpers and so Arch Angels come in for a first line of defence, like  Personal Assistants  for a CEO ; perhaps they do not feel as awesome to approach.

Human beings are a strange lot at times. Not ‘bothering’ God is a concept many feel aware of and have experienced before now.

The Archangels have manifestations, associations and now even their own Tarot Packs and Spirit Packs....the inventiveness of mankind in trying to bring into their lives a spiritual being knows no boundaries.

I return to RAZIEL  who is a powerful Archangel who can be called upon to defend from great evils
His associations are the following
AMETHYST, LAVENDER, VIOLET, WINTER, MARCH, MONDAY, BELIEFS, HELPFUL, RESOURCEFUL, BLOODSTONE, THE WORLD, THE UNIVERSE, CANDLE PURPLE.

On the Tree of Life in Kabbalah (also called "Qabala"), one reads of Archangel Raziel overseeing the sephirot (sephiroth)called "Chokmah" which means "wisdom."
"Ratziel reveals Divinity as it emanates Divine energy into everything, and allows human consciousness to expand to the degree that it is able to comprehend the existence of Divinity....an awareness of God in all manifestations which can release the believer from a single pathway and open the door (Daath) to a greater spiritual journey of Gnosis of all and not just one way.

AA Raziel is our angel who reveals the divine mystery, enabling us to understand the concept of God in all manifestations. An ability to enable us the human race to not only understand and accept the concept of God but to apply that knowledge in every day ways into our everyday life.

Raziel is the fifth Arch Angel called upon to guide and keep safe the personal energy of the soul as we connect to our higher self in prayers or service (invocation and ritual)

The first series of Arch  Angels appears in The Book of Enoch and are named as Gabriel, Michael,Raphael,Uriel,Raguel,Remiel and Saraquel.

All AA names end in ‘el’.

Remiel is described as the leader of the 200 Fallen Angels the Grigori.

The Revelations description of seven seals being broken is a reference to the Arch Angels who hold those seals in defence of mankind from the apocalypse.

Many religions with a Jewish base refer to Arch Angels and name other angels in their belief system.

The Roman Catholic church recognises three Arch Angels, Raphael, Michael and Gabriel.

The Eastern Orthodox church accepts Uriel as well,.

Sariel and Jerahmeel ,Selaphiel,Jegudiel, are mentioned in The Book of Enoch.

The Coptic Church mentions Suriel, Zadakiel and Aniel.

Systems recorded in various holy scripts assign the Arch Angels various tasks or ruler ships.

The seven Luminaries (the 7 planets or star systems visible to the naked eye) are given Arch Angels .

The Seasons of the year, the elements and jewels, stones, and other diverse aspects have all at one time or another been ruled by an Arch Angel.

Each religion or pathway will give the researcher a list of such associations.

Just a short introduction to Arch Angels and their presence in the spiritual worlds we regularly visit.
